Bringing Heaven to Earth

Earth view

Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven”

I love to study the ancient and prophetic roots, shadows, and metaphors that are revealed in the Tabernacle. There are so many hidden mysteries revealed in every inch of its blue prints copied from the original in heaven. The tabernacle is especially significant to us as New Testament believers because we are the Tabernacle today; “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?” (1 Corinthians 3:16, NKJV). Not a new Tabernacle made from a new pattern, but a tabernacle much like the one we find in the Old Testament; the replica and copy of the original in heaven.

Yes, the tabernacle or place of worship and presence of God within us is to be a copy or replica of heaven on earth. So when we recite the prayer of Jesus, Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. 10 Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven” (Matt 6:9-10), we must understand that is begins within us.

You see the most amazing thing I have found in studying the mysteries of the tabernacle is that even thousands of years before you and I would become the tabernacle, God was mindful of His dwelling place to come in us. Every place of the Tabernacle in its amazing blue prints from heaven has its purpose; step by step, glory to glory, Heaven increases on earth in us and through us.

The Brazen Altar: The Brazen Altar within us is the place we go to exchange our life for Jesus’ life.  It is a place we die to self and allow the fire of God’s Holiness to burn us from the inside out. We become a living sacrifice so that heaven can come to earth through the blood and death of Jesus in us.

The Bronze Laver:  The Bronze Laver is where we choose to be clothed in the resurrection and life of Jesus. This is where sanctification begins to work in us, cleansing us from old mindsets and the dirt of our past. This is the place we choose not just to be clothed in Jesus, but filled with His spirit overflowing in preparation to do the work of Jesus on earth.   Heaven comes to earth through our own sanctification.

The Lampstand: The Lampstand is a place full of the oil and light of the Holy Spirit in our life. Here in this place hidden deep within us, we find the oil of His presence, the oil of the anointing of Jesus working through us to create heaven on earth. In this place we become the light of heaven that shines in a dark place. This is where heaven meets earth through signs, wonders, and miracles.

The Table of Showbread: The Table of Showbread is the place that the words of heaven are manifested in us and through us. It is a place we must choose to receive words of promise and new life; a place of faith to believe that God will use your natural and His supernatural power to take us to a place where heaven comes to earth through God’s eternal words in us.

The Altar of Incense: The Altar of Incense is the place where heaven kisses earth through a heart crying out for the will of the Father. This is the place within us where our deepest groanings of the spirit come from and deep cries out to deep. Our heart reaches up to touch the heart of heaven and beckons it to come to earth.

The Most Holy Place:

The Most Holy Place is the place where we go to do….nothing. Every place in the Tabernacle has a purpose that requires us to do something to bring heaven to earth except for the Most Holy Place. This is the only place deep within us that does not require us to do something to bring heaven to earth, but where earth goes to heaven. The Most Holy Place is where we go to get swept away to where God is. It is the place where we do not worship to receive something in return, but a place of our most pure and holy worship.  It is a worship that is simply a response of kissing heaven and being in the presence of the Holy One. It is a hiding place from the snares of our adversary and the whirlwind of life itself – a place of peace, rest, and God’s perfect love that casts out all fear. The Most Holy place is where the earth embraces heaven in its purest form.

If there was ever a time we need to spend time in the Most Holy place it is now. In a time where the earth is rushing about us and demanding that we keep up…we need heaven’s rest and peace. So, how do we bring God’s peace and rest through us to earth? We must do it God’s way. You must understand that God has an order for everything. There are no short cuts to peace and rest and no fence jumping.

On the Day of Atonement when the High Priest would enter into the Most Holy place, God required Him to bring the blood from the Outer Court where the Brazen Altar stood and the incense from the altar of the Inner Court, insuring that the Priest was doing it God’s way. We must start at the foot of the cross to receive heaven’s peace and rest. We must start at the place of exchange and death; subduing our own flesh. Then and only then we can embrace life in Christ through the Holy Spirit. Stepping out of the flesh of the Outer Court of our Tabernacle’s we step into the Inner Court of our Soul. As we allow the Holy Spirit to do the work of the ministry of Christ in and through us, every step of the way we bring heaven to earth. Only then, can we step into the Most Holy place of our Spirits where God is; where heaven’s rest and peace resides.

The Tabernacle is our blueprint of worship; the step to bring heaven to earth…and it starts within us.

In Christ,

Alicia White
